10:15 Keynote: View from the Top: ‘Digital Economy and Marketing: Present and Future Tense’
The digital revolution is in full swing and a new age of marketing & advertising is upon us. The chief marketing officer, a title barely known a decade ago, is under pressure to keep pace with dynamic digital media and globalisation. The rise of the New Media has changed the face of marketing from one to two-way communications with consumers. The consumers are increasingly proactive and have a new sense of control, interacting with firms as never before. What the online majors have to say about their cross-media interactivity?

Summit Day Four: Friday, 19 June 2009
10:20 - Mega Keynote Roundtable - New Couch Potatoes: Leveraging Consumer Insights the Future of Entertainment in the Digital Universe
You’ve heard it all before: It’s a billion-channel universe; innovate or die; the death of television as we know it. Digital changes everything or does it? With mobile connections crossing the 4 billion mark, fixed schedules are collapsing as viewers choose when & how they watch TV – and increasingly where. Television however, is not dead, but going through a fundamental shift. Our focus should not be on emerging technologies alone, but on emerging cultural practices. How and what will the couch potatoes of tomorrow choose to view, and how will networks reach them? This keynote will set the stage for the entire day, revealing insights into:
1) How this has all evolved?
2) Where we are today?
3) Where we can all go successfully with mobile TV and entertainment in the future?
